What Is Coaching?
Professional coaching is an on-going partnership that helps produce fulfilling results and your personal and/or professional life. Coaching is forward-moving and action-oriented. A coach helps identify obstacles that are holding you back from getting what you want. Coaches hold you accountable to your individualized goals.
A coach is someone who will stand by you, challenge you, and provide you with tools and structure. Coaching is a team of two; your coach has expertise in positive change and you have expertise in your own life.
Coaching is not psychotherapy. There is not a problem that needs to be fixed, but rather goals to be attained. You won’t spend a lot of time looking back at your life, but rather forward to your future!
How Coaching Works
Most coaching sessions occur on the phone. You don't need to leave your office or home, so it saves you time. If you prefer, we can conduct the initial discovery session face-to-face. During the discovery session, we plan how we're going to work together, look at where you are now, and where you want to go.
We recommend that new clients start with a three month commitment, which allows enough time to make changes and evaluate the coaching process. Coaching sessions are generally held three times a month for either 30 or 45 minutes depending on the needs of the client. |
